Review
This was once my holy grail of Zoids back before I had a credit card so the only Zoids I could get were ones from UK toyshops.
For some reason this Zoid was very tough for me to get a hold of. I even tried asking a shop to order it in for me. They tried but they never received it. In the end I had to go to the biggest toyshop in England to find it. (And squealed like an idiot when I did ^^;)
The Geno Saurer is based on the one from the Chaotic Century Anime, and as such comes with a pilot and standing figure of Raven (The guy who pilots it). However, to my (and many other Zoid fans disappointment) Geno Saurer does not come with a Shadow Organoid figure.
Geno Saurer's build is slightly more complicated in respect to how the canopy attaches and also because you have wires to contend with in the neck. But, overall, it isn't too bad and it's packed with features both motorised and manual.
When the motor is switched on the Geno Saurer walks forwards, opens and closes its mouth, and its eyes light up a menacing red colour. In addition to this, its hand claws open and close. I wasn't too keen on the fact that the claws open and close alternately, but that's just the way the mechanics were connected I guess ^^;
The manual movable features include a gun that can be lowered up and down and twist 360 on its mount, fins along its neck and base of the tail that can be opened and locks on the back of the feet that can be folded down. The fins and foot locks are intended to be used in conjunction with its final feature, which is, if you push down on the back of Geno Saurer's head, its head and neck will lower and its mouth will open, revealing a CPC cannon in its mouth.
I recommend Geno Saurer for the Chaotic Century fans in particular.
