So after some swearing and flying of tiny pieces everywhere, I finally got this guy built. Here's a quick comparison with his 1:72 scale official counterpart. Hope to get a full review of this guy up soon, but I will say he's not one for the impatient.
I'm a sucker for bootleg Zoids so when Blaze posted this on The Zoidian I couldn't resist! First impression: Awesome boxart! It impressed me way more than any existing HMMs right off the bat. Also holographic logos = win Inside the box it seems pretty similar to the HMM, only smaller. Hopefully this won't take as long or be as patience testing as the normal one Rough size comparison with the Regular HMM Bladey What really sold me on the bootleg though is the mold change to parts like the canopy and the blades. Looking forward to being able to build this and see what he looks like finished The manual doesn't even know what this part is for.
Bio Megaraptor HT: Belated Christmas pressie from Deathy.
D-Style Ultrasaurus: Wasn't going to get this one initially, but I just couldn't leave it. I've been in a Genesis mood of late, so when I saw Bio Raptor Gui in Toy-wave on offer I decided to finally get it. First edition with the card too which I wasn't expecting but is nice. Also managed to pick up the DVD Special Box Murasame Liger HT Never initially had an interest in this guy, but he grew on me recently, so when Deathy directed me to this one I couldn't pass up. Didn't come with the DVD's, but they'd be in Japanese anyway so it doesn't matter.
Got these from Deathy. Lanstag was part of a lot split and Rev Rapter Deathy bought on my behalf because I cocked up my Japamart deposit
Thanks Deathy ^^ Received this from Wiki in the post this morning Apparently she found them in Walmart being sold with a brand of t-shirt. Iirc she said the line was Cyberbot.
Naturally it has the same kind of quality most bootlegs have, but it makes up for it with that metallic green and it even comes with an instruction sheet (which is kinda redundant given that it's sold pre-built) The sheet has "Cybbea Instruction sheet" printed on it. It's name maybe? Managed to snag this for $20 My second Robostrux.
I'm not sure how much he fetches built normally, but I consider $20 for a RS quite cheap to me, especially considering a MIB version apparently sold for $200. Mine may be built, but he's in great condition and everything's there. Okay, so his motor did explode when I took him apart to clean him up, but if you cast your mind back a few posts you'll remember I got a second OER Spineback in my last lot. Motor problem sorted. For the record, here he is with this box he was shipped in. Just him, a little bubble wrap and a ton of polystyrene pellets. No joke. Stoked to have been able to get my hands on this beauty MIB. However my joy was short lived after I started to build it and discovered right away that a manufacturing error had left him packaged with 2 "C" gears and 1 "A" gear instead of the other way around.
Hopefully I should be able to get a replacement soon, but for the time being I managed a bodge job with the extra gear and some blu tack. Wouldn't know there was anything wrong XD So this really flat package from Taiwan arrived this morning. I was expecting my Trinity Liger Gasha from Taiwan, but this seemed too flat to be a figurine, until I opened it and and my first experience with a Gashapon. I never realised you had to build it!
Thanks to Pirate pointing it out, I managed to grab this OER lot. I was pleasantly surprised to find that all the Zoids were complete. (The Zilla pictured isn't the one from the lot. A complete Zilla was part of the lot, but suffered from broken parts so he was used to complete my previous one.)
