Review
One of the most treasured Zoids in my collection, Geno Breaker Jet had previously been one of my holy grails, and when I finally got the chance to get one I got a bit concerned, because the auction finished at 4 in the morning, and I wouldn't be up for it.
I put a bid on him early, but thankfully no-one outbid. Unbeknownst to me, my fiancé even woke up to watch the end of the auction, ready to raise my bid if I did get outbid ^^
But all went well, and I was finally the owner of the Zoid I'd been chasing after for so long.
Geno Breaker Jet is a straight up re-colour from the NJR red Geno Breaker, being black with a orange-red base instead of red with a grey one and he was released as a Zoids Shop exclusive from Zoidscore
Like the NJR Geno Breaker, Geno Breaker Jet walks forwards, opens and closes his mouth and claws, and has light up (but not flashing) eyes when the motor is turned on.
He also has the manual features, like opening fins, opening foot locks, opening boosters, posable claws and a backwards facing head blade that can be pointed forwards, as well as the ability to be posed into the CPC firing position.
The Geno Breaker Jet's walking gait is fairly erratic. He seems incapable of walking in a straight line, and literally throws himself to the left and right as as he walks. This motion is somewhat disturbing to me.
The Geno Breaker Jet's motor is also difficult to turn on or off, as the on/off switch is hidden under the backpack, meaning that you either have to take the back pack off, or spend about five minutes trying to find the bloody switch while his legs are whirring away, threating to tangle your clothing up.
And while he does still come with the Raven pilots, he was not released with a Shadow figure
But despite this, Geno Breaker Jet is still a worthwhile Zoid to have, particulary if you only want him as a display piece. He still comes with the head guns and back guns that the original Geno Breaker has in order to turn him into a Geno Saurer, and the colour scheme is popular, making him one of the most wanted Zoids.
Unfortunately this popularity does also make him rather expensive, and, with his release limited to just 3000 kits, even a built Geno Breaker Jet can set you back hundreds of dollars nowadays.
Recommended for serious, determined collectors, who don't mind shelling out a few hundred bucks for a toy.
