Review
This big lumbering Stegosaurus was the third arrival to my collection, and one I really should pay more attention to now and again.
While it's not the best colour the Gordos mould has ever had, I don't think it's a bad one.
I had issues with this guy when I got him though. Bought him from the toyshop after work, headed down to the local Woolworths (RIP) and bought a brand new pair of batteries especially for him, then got him home and built, only to find at the end that he would not move a muscle!
Now, this upset me because I looked at his face, and all I kept seeing was him going "I'm broken, she doesn't want me TT_TT" Thankfully it was suggested that I try a change of batteries. Turns out it was the batteries that were dead, not the motor. And Gordos was happy ^^
With the exception of a few guns that can be twisted on the hardpoints, all Gordos' functions are motorised. He'll walk forwards in a slow lumbering manner fitting of a Stegosaurus, while swinging his head from side to side, opening and closing his mouth. Additionally, the two guns on his back will also raise and lower alternately.
Gordos carries a total of two pilots, one in the head and one in the tail.
All in all, this guy is a very nice solid Zoid to own. I didn't encounter any real issues in the build. The only point I will make is that his back is not firmly attached. I highly recommend picking him up from the underside.
Availability wise he's still attainable in places, at a price not too much higher than retail (Based on the RRP of the NER) so you should be able to add one to your collection easily enough ^^
