Year of Release: Unknown
Crew Number: 1
Motor or Posable?: Small wind up motor
Review
I've never been a major fan of the whitehead Zoids really, but Mantazoid is probably my favourite out of them.
At the time I bought him, he was the only whitehead OER Zoid that I hadn't heard the name of or seen before, so I was pretty happy to own him.
His only feature when wound up is the ability to walk forwards, but what makes this guy interesting is that he's not supported by his feet. At that angle, it's physically impossible. Instead he walks on struts underneath his body.
Mantazoid's non-motorized features aren't too bad for a Zoid his size. His foremost "Raptorial" legs are posable from the shoulder, and he has a joint in his waist allowing him to be posed upright, or bent forward. His head can also be twisted on its hard point to look in different directions.
I'd say Mantazoid is well worth owning, but may be hard to find. And watch out for yellowing in the white plastic
