Red Horn the Terrible
(Styracosaurus type)
Manufacturer: Tomy
Line: Original European Release
Origin of Release: UK
Year of Release: 1985
Crew Number: 3
Motor or Posable?: 2 AA Batteries
Review
Red Horns have never been my favourite Zoids. I like them, but since I already had the NJR Red Horn, I didn't feel the need to get the OER one as well.
It wasn't until a contact I met through eBay asked if I was interested in buying one in my next order from him, that I decided, why not.
While Red Horn is still not one of my favourite Zoids, I don't regret buying the OER. Its red is a lot more vivid than its NJR decendant, although the smokey canopy covers/eyes though make it slightly more bland when standing next to the NJR.
Red Horn the Terrible's motor functions consist on walking forwards with its mouth opening and closing, and the front gun on its back spinning.
It doesn't have many manual functions though. The small silver guns can be twisted on their hardpoints, and the rear back gun can be raised up and down, but that's about it
In conclusion I think Red Horn the Terrible is a nice Zoid to own if you can find it for a good price, or if you're a Red Horn/OER fan. I'd certainly choose it over the NJR now I've seen its colour.
