Zi-024 Command Wolf Irvine
(Wolf type)
Manufacturer: Tomy
Line: New European Release
Origin of Release: UK
Year of Release: 2004
Crew Number: 2
Motor or Posable?: Wind up motor
Review
This was not only my second Zoid, but my first encounter with an anime coloured Zoid. Although I wouldn't call it anime accurate.
It's based on a Command Wolf belonging to Irvine - one of the characters from Zoids Chaotic Century – however, it is a little too much of a light grey in comparison to the actual Zoid in the anime.
One thing that did really surprise me is why the UK got Command Wolf Irvine, but never the standard white Command Wolf. Oh well, we got A wolf at least, and it comes with an Irvine pilot and small standing figurine, so that makes up for it.
Command Wolf Irvine, like the standard Command Wolf, has a two speed feature. Once you've wound up the motor, you can make it walk fast, by lifting its head and neck up, or slower by pushing it down.
It also features a mouth and tail that are movable manually. The gun can also be moved 180 degrees horizontally, but that is not recommended as the peg is easy to snap.
I'd definitely recommend Command Wolf Irvine for casual collectors and Chaotic Century fans.
