Review
One of the original Ltds released in the NJR line. Gojulas the Ogre is inspired by the OJR Gojulas MKII Ltd, containing all the extra weapons from the original, as well as having a colour scheme that ties in with it.
He has all the standard features of the Gojulas mould.
When motorized he walks forwards, raising his arms up and down, and looking from side the side, the motion of which makes his mouth open and close.
His hands are also posable, as well as the additional Cannons, and he has blinking red eyelights connected to a seperate battery unit on his back.
Gojulas the Ogre seems to be quite popular, if only for the extra weapons set. Like the original MKII Ltd, Ogre comes with some of the weapons from the Republican customise set, and while the cannons and the four barrel arm gun were also made available separately as the cheaper CP-10 Gojulas Cannons set, the rest are still only available through certain Zoids, all of which cost quite a bit more than peanuts to get hold of now.
Weapons aside though, Ogre is a neat little Zoid to have, even if you're already lucky enough to own the MKII Ltd.
While inspired by it, the colour scheme is very different, mostly being darker than the original, and he comes with a redesigned sticker sheet, with special "ZG" and "Gojulas the Ogre" custom stickers.
Strangely though, he also comes with a white sprue of Irvine pilots (Irvine being a main character from Chaotic Century). This confused me at first, but it seems to be a reference to the fight against the first Death Saurer in Chaotic Century, where Irvine piloted a Gojulas. In the series, the Gojulas was also referred to as ZG.
So do I recommend him? Hell yeah! The fact that he comes with all those extra weapons makes him much more interesting and unique than the other Gojulas variants in my collection, and smokey canopies are always a plus with me.
His price could be a turn off for most, but I think he's worth it.
Just watch for that tail. Gojulas tails have been known to snap where it connects to the body.
