Zabre
(Tiger type)
Manufacturer: Tomy
Line: Original European Release
Origin of Release: UK
Year of Release: 1987
Crew Number: 1
Motor or Posable?: 1 AA Batteries
Related Zoids
Z2 Sabre, Chromed Great Saber
Review
One of my favourite Zoids from the OER line, my Zabre is regrettably incomplete. With the exception of the caps, all the navy parts are replacements from a Shield Liger.
Zabre is also missing his stickers. He had them when he arrived, but they were so poorly applied I couldn't bear to look at him. Thankfully he's now much more aesthetically pleasing.
Zabre is able to walk forwards, opening and shutting his mouth as he goes when the motor is switched on, but doesn't possess much in the way of manual features aside from a few guns that can be turned on their hard points, and an opening and closing cockpit.
But he's a nice looking Zoid, probably one of the best Sabre Tiger colour schemes released - certainly high on my list anyway - and a treasured part of my collection for which I will gladly continue my hunt to restore to his former glory.
Complete kits are hard to come by, so look to pay high, but Zabre's worth it.
