He was missing his left hand, tail gun and headpiece, but thankfully the grey of the hand and tail gun is identical to that of the NER white Spinosnapper, of which I have spares and was able to replace them. Sadly, HT Spinosnapper's headpiece is transparent orange, and I only had a white one to replace it with, so he's not quite complete yet.

I received my Holotech Spinosnapper from Deathy in the post today ^^ He was missing his left hand, tail gun and headpiece, but thankfully the grey of the hand and tail gun is identical to that of the NER white Spinosnapper, of which I have spares and was able to replace them. Sadly, HT Spinosnapper's headpiece is transparent orange, and I only had a white one to replace it with, so he's not quite complete yet. Additionally, I scored another Claw in my search for a Ghost Shield Tiger
So, the past few days I've been going through that Zoids 2 lot and cleaning and repairing what I can. Ultra Saurus was the first job, since he was already out of the box and had a space waiting for him. He had quite a few issues when I first checked him. He has some sun damage, particularly on the caps, and faded stickers. He also suffered from a snapped cannon and leg to cannon connector, as well as some missing and gouged caps. Astoundingly he's not missing any parts aside from those caps. He even has the extra vehicles that I was certain would be long gone. As far as the cap situation goes, I discovered some caps hiding within the leg armour, that worked out to just enough to cover all the external points. Since they weren't really needed in there, I moved them, so he at least looks complete from the outside. I do plan to completely replace those sun damaged caps eventually, provided I can find appropriate replacements. Cruncher and Red Wing were worked on together Cruncher is probably the most complete and undamaged I've found thus far, suffering from little more than a snapped leg peg, and caps so sun damaged they disintegrated on removal. Thankfully I was able to replace his destroyed cap set with identical caps, and glue his leg peg back on, so he needs no further work. Red Wing on the other hand, was probably the Zoid suffering from the worst damage. His wings were snapped in many places, his front legs snapped off and some caps missing or disintegrated on removal. I've patched him up as best I could and given him some similar caps to make up the missing ones, but his right leg glued on a little wonky. He still walks... just... clockwise ^^; Red Wing was also bagged with the wrong colour pilot. But there are a load of gold pilots included in the extra parts bag, so no problem to switch. I've had to clean up some space for the Zoids that'll be staying with me, and my existing Zoids are a little confused Saber RV: "What's going on? Are we moving again?"
Saber Loris: "Nono, I do believe she's cleaning the room" Saber X: "HAHAHAHAHA! No, really, what's she doing? Gilvader: "WHEEEEEEEEE!" Well the lot arrived yesterday. So yus, these'll be seperated up, and Wiki's share posted to her as soon as I can manage it. There was one issue though... when I was checking the Zoids over, I pulled out Zoidzilla, only to discover corroded batteries had been left in the light pack... And not just corroded batteries, but batteries that had been left leaking in there for about 14 years! Aside from that however, there are a fair few breakages, and sun damage, but for a Spares or Repair lot I really can't complain.
The most important thing to me, is that the all the Ultra is missing is some of it's caps. The Ultra is my new baby, though he needs some love. Thought it was about time I started a blog for this site... that way people can keep up with what's happening on the site without have to guess everytime they visit. For new time visitors, so far the vintage page is the most complete. I've just posted a review for my newly acquired chrome Great Saber, and I have Ltd Gojulas the Ogre, TechnoZoids Evil Pegasus, and Zoids2 Red Wing lined up next. Also I teamed up with Wiki recently and together we purchased this huge Zoids2 lot: We were actually quite lucky on it! We got outbid a few second before the auction ended, but a couple of days later, for reasons I won't go into, we were given a (legitimate) second chance offer.
The Z-Knight, Zoidzilla, Iron Kong, Red Wing and Raptor will be heading off to Wiki, while the Ultrasaurus, Spinefin, Claw and Cruncher will be joining my ranks. Pretty excited about it ^^ |
